Grace Nova Counseling has spent years investing in individuals, couples, families, adolescents and children in Northern Virginia. They quickly outgrew their DIY Squarespace site and wanted an upgrade that felt welcoming and peaceful while clearly conveying their counseling services, resources and special offerings.

Our Branded site is ideal for clients who already have a logo they love, but want more customization than our basic brochure site provides. With Grace Nova Counseling, we gave them a branded font system using a classic font for their larger headings and paragraph text, and moved the modern, block font to a lighter weight and smaller size for use as section introductions. We replaced the mountain scenes they had in a lot of the first section banners with more counselor-specific imagery to strengthen the connection to their core service. Not wanting to lose those beautiful Northern Virginia scenes, we moved those to secondary locations, like the background for their contact form, call to action, or the banner for their client portal.
The branded color palette is the real show stopper on this branded site. Moving from moody blues to a copper and tan, this color scheme is a journey all it’s own. We used it in color blocks to make their page layouts more digestible. Counselors often have a lot of industry-specific language making their site content more educational. Knowing the average time a viewer spends on any one page varies from 3-15 seconds, it’s critical to make that content compelling. This involves the copy as well as the layout. For Grace Nova Counseling, we made sure to have meaningful headlines and clearly defined sections as well as lots of white space to make larger sections, like their Core Values, easy to take in.
