Timber Creek Ga :: Unmistakably Southern
Michelle, long-time hospitality manager, with her husband, at Timber Creek Trails in South Ga, came to me wanting to break into the online world with an easy to maintain website that would attract hunters to their destination farm. What you'll notice immediately about Michelle is her love for family and the best of the south. That's what's fueled their passion to host people from all over at this tucked away property -- exclusive until now.
Luckily, Michelle is also a photographer and fantastic copywriter who wanted to tell the story of the Bragg Family. They still make Timber Creek their regular spot to gather all the family for big meals, hunting and just to be together. Wanting to pass on their southern heritage to the next generation, they offer hunting packages, weekend stays, and event facilities.
We started with an inspiration board to plan the look and feel of the site, then launched into content gathering and writing for the site. I create a pintrest board for all my clients because I love collaborating and dream together. That's why I'm so particular about my clients. I try to pick people I enjoy and can have a lasting relationship with. Michelle took on the challenge with me and together we created a site we're both proud of.
The biggest challenge with this site was finding a way to use all the imagery to showcase what Timber Creek offers and means as well as galleries celebrating the people who make Timber Creek all it is. We worked with tons of images for the many galleries, all of which needed to be resized to make sure the site would load quickly (especially in places where bandwidth might be an issue).
The more we worked together on the website, the more the project grew to include a brand refresh to express the southern charm they wanted visitors to experience. We chose a classic font to give the brand a solid foundation, paired with a modern text for the next generation.
My favorite addition is a secondary icon inspired by a shotgun shell emphasizing the main offering of Timber Creek and the rallying point that's brought the family together for years.
